Broadmoor Hospital has achieved the highest possible rating in NHS England’s 2017 annual security audit.
The annual security audit has given Broadmoor a ‘green – substantial assurance’ rating. The audit was carried out by staff from Rampton and Ashworth High Secure Hospitals in 2017.
Commenting on the achievement, Steve Sylvester, Head of Mental Health Programme of Care at NHS England said:
“This is a great achievement and shows the sustained assurance at the Hospital over recent years. I would like to take this opportunity to thank your staff formally for their hard work and dedication in maintaining this position and their flexibility in working towards the peer audit process, undertaken for the first time during this audit.”
John Hourihan, Director of Security at Broadmoor Hospital, said:
“This is fantastic recognition for hard work across the board. Staff at Broadmoor Hospital can rightly feel proud of this rating.”
