The Solace Centre in Ealing reopened last month after facing closure to coincide with World Mental Health Day (Tuesday 10 October). 140 people were in attendance including councillors, service users and health care professionals.
The centre works in partnership with the Trust and Ealing Council to provide mental health support to Ealing residents. It is a daily out-of-hours mental health resource service which offers a safe, accepting and inclusive for people with mental health problems and dual diagnosis.
It helps people by aiding their inclusion in the community, encouraging stability as well as creating resilience and independence. The centre’s objectives are to prevent relapse, hospitalisation, isolation and loneliness.
Earlier this year the centre relocated to a brand new purpose-built building adjacent to its original premises.
