West London Mental Health is part of the National Health Service (NHS).

We are one of London’s largest providers of mental health care, treating more than 20,000 people each year. The services we provide are purchased by commissioners, such as primary care trusts (PCTs), on behalf of local people. We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned nationally, such as our gender identity clinic and our high secure service, and regionally, such as our medium secure services.

We report directly to NHS London, which is one of ten strategic health authorities in England.

We are divided into three clinical service units:

  1. Local services (covering the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow)
  2. Specialist and Forensic services (including gender identity and The Cassel)
  3. High Secure services (Broadmoor Hospital)
